AIRBNB EXPERIENCES: BLUE SKIES, INDIGO DYES
SATURDAY, SepTEMBER 8, 2018
1:00pm – 4:00pm
We are excited to offer an ongoing series of Intro to Indigo Workshops on select Saturdays. Join us for a creative afternoon of learning, sharing and collaborating in our new home, the Hawthorne Arts Complex. This Intro to Shibori Dyeing workshop is designed to make learning how to dye your own fabric fun & easy! Shibori is a Japanese technique of binding, stitching, and clamping fabric to create patterns when indigo dye is applied. During the workshop, we will guide you through the fundamentals of Shibori and you will go home with two custom textiles. It will be a relaxing and fun environment to learn in and make new friends along the way. This workshop is for everyone, and no experience is necessary. Feel free to bring your own items to dye, anything made of natural fibers. It will be an inspired time of mindful making, using art as relaxation and empowerment.
