So grateful to get the chance to collaborate on the incredible @wearfigs @lululemon Lululemon Immersion. We were invited to teach a Shibori workshop to more than fifty Figs ambassadors, the Lululemon crew and the Figs crew. The ambassadors traveled from all around the country to Ojai to enjoy some much needed self care. Happy to be part of such an incredible event. Teaching more than fifty newbies how to Shibori was definitely a daunting task. It was truly remarkable to see the effort and energy in making things together.
When teaching art, we believe in focusing on the process not just the product. As part of our Shibori workshop for the Figs x lululemon Immersion we emphasized the beauty of losing control and starting something you don’t know the exact ending of. This design approach of experimentation and discovery is essential for all wakes of life, especially for medical professionals who are stressed by the constant need for perfection and results. To truly be in the moment and learn from the process, assumptions should be replaced by a readiness to explore.
