L’Oréal
Trust-Building Experience

The Challenge

L’Oréal approached Crave Workshops with a clear goal: strengthen trust and connection within their team.

Rather than another presentation or discussion-based team-building activity, they wanted an experience that would bring people together in a meaningful, memorable way—something participants could feel, not just talk about.

The Approach

To support this objective, we designed a two-hour creative wellness experience that blended hands-on art-making with guided reflection and team conversation.

Although Agnes was facilitating remotely from San Francisco, the experience was supported by an on-site Crave Workshops facilitator who helped prepare materials, guide participants, and create a welcoming environment.

Together, we created a seamless hybrid experience that combined:

  • Hands-on creative exploration

  • Guided reflection and discussion

  • Client-led conversations around trust

  • A collaborative art activity where the team created something together

The conversation and creative process were intentionally intertwined, allowing participants to engage with the topic of trust through both dialogue and action.

We have a team of traditional left brain thinkers so most feedback was the team appreciated that we took a more abstract/right brain approach to teambuilding and topics like trust building. I think the medium we used was new and interesting for most so that’s a unique advantage you have and enveloping multiple ways to explore that without feeling too duplicative was a smart way to extend to the full two hours.

The set up and attention throughout the event with Noemi (the assistant) was also well managed and enabled me to be more in the moment. I also think we had a good dynamic of passing back and forth between the two of us to bring the exercise back to the work environment.

Overall we had an amazing time and I’d absolutely recommend!

The Experience

As participants moved through the creative exercises, conversations became more natural and authentic. The act of creating together encouraged openness, curiosity, and connection.

By engaging both hands and minds, team members experienced trust-building in real time rather than simply discussing it conceptually. The final collaborative artwork became a visual representation of the team’s shared experience and collective contribution.

The Outcome

The session demonstrated that meaningful connection can happen regardless of physical distance when experiences are thoughtfully designed.

Through a combination of creativity, reflection, and collaboration, participants were able to connect in new ways, deepen relationships, and strengthen team trust.

Key Takeaway

Trust is not built through conversation alone. It is built through shared experiences. By creating together, teams move beyond passive participation and into genuine connection—where trust, communication, and collaboration can naturally grow.
