A back to school celebration! A splash of bright dye can provide a good dose of optimism during a heavy time. Play with color and upcycle your garments into something new through tie-dye. The 60 minute zoom will showcase two tyeing techniques for creating modern spiral and bullseye patterns.
In this Workshop we will: 1. Learn how to choose colors that pop 2. Learn about where tie dye comes from 3. Learn 2 tying techniques to create different patterns 4. Learn about dye application and best practices to achieve results
We are also hosting a very special Tie Dye Day with @ladesignfestival. We will tyeing and dyeing our garments to create new wearable works of art. In this Zoom workshop, we will cover: how to prep, tie, dye, and wash dyed items. This event will share different and abstract tie dye techniques including jar dyeing, Shibori inspired resist tie dye and multiple bullseye patterns.
Our Workshops create a safe space for play, discovery and exploration. We believe in focusing on the process not just the product. As part of our workshop practice we emphasize the beauty of losing control and starting something you don’t know the exact ending of.
This workshop will be on Zoom with a max capacity of 30 people to allow personal interaction. Tickets are $25.
