Loosen up! We’ll play with air and ink to create fun, exciting, and colorful abstract paintings. We will let go of perfectionism and go with the flow. 

In this special experience, we will go where the inks take us. Each and every piece we create will be different. Because of the nature of these inks there is a variety of techniques and styles that are unique to alcohol inks, and which allow for an endless river of creation to continually flow. The inks dance across the surface creating magical movement. When colors are blended together, the result is playful yet sophisticated.

Alcohol ink is highly pigmented dye and, of course, alcohol based. Alcohol art is known for its vibrant and bold colors. These inks are manipulated using alcohol. As the inks are alcohol based they evaporate much quicker, so the paint dries in only a few minutes. It’s an alchemy of ink, air and time.

This session is designed to encourage experimentation and embrace the beauty of imperfection. The key is to play, explore, and discover without fear or inhibition. We will begin by working on paper, allowing ourselves to freely express our creativity. We will then make ceramic coasters. We will finish with special art panels to display on wooden easels.
